DESIGN PROCESS

Initial Consultation

After an initial enquiry, we will arrange to visit you and your garden to discuss your ideas, any likes and dislikes you might have, and what you want from your redesign.  Following this meeting we will write to you with a formal client brief that covers the points discussed.  This will include a design quotation.

Site Survey and Assessment

An accurate survey of the site is essential in the design process.  Measuring dimensions and levels, and assessing the soil type, orientation, and existing features and conditions, all help the production of accurate scaled drawings.  For larger or more complex sites, a professional surveyor may be necessary.

Concept Plan

Using the information from the survey in conjunction with the ideas set out in the Client Brief, we will then create a Concept Plan of your garden.  A further visit can then be arranged to present the plan.  This is where we can discuss any changes before proceeding to the final design stage.

Master Plan

Once the Concept Plan has been approved, a Master Plan is then produced. This will be an accurate scale plan of the garden to be, and indicate types of materials and planting to be used. 3D details will help visualise the garden and bring the design to life.

Construction Drawings and Specification

In addition to the Master Plan, scaled Construction Drawings are produced together with a Specification Document. These will enable the contractor to accurately build the garden.

Planting Plans

Detailed Planting Plans are produced in the full redesign service, or it could be that you just need an existing border spruced up, which we’d be more than happy to discuss. We work closely with a number of specialist nurseries, and source only the finest quality plants.

Project Management

If required, we can help with the tendering phase, and project manage the build stage, working closely with the contractors with regular site visits.

Ongoing Maintenance

We are more than happy to produce a maintenance scheduled to help you keep your new garden looking at its best throughout the year. Alternatively, we can arrange maintenance visits to take care of the hard work for you.
